Really appreciated this video. Watched and discussed with Lindsey, who works with social workers and is surrounded by mental health assessments. These were all new to her.
I definitely agree with your description of the DERS as a mini-lesson about emotional regulation just by reading the question. The language in the Dissociation assessment was also very interesting: non-threatening, non-stigmatizing, “some people experience” or “some people sometimes feel”, which just in the phrasing invites a more genuine response.
